# Bringing Aventail™ Link to the open-source community

We want the community to help shape the future of Aventail™ Link: the runtime that combines model execution and policy-based inference routing.

Link 1.0 was open source. Our intention is to bring the current generation to the community too, with an open-source release by the end of 2026.

## Where we are today

The current version of Aventail™ Link is not open source. We are evaluating the appropriate licence and release approach before publishing it.

The end-of-2026 timing is our intention. The release scope, licence and contribution process have not yet been finalised.

## What we will share

When the approach is confirmed, we will publish the repository, explain what the release includes, and provide clear instructions for using the code and contributing.

This commitment concerns Aventail™ Link. It does not announce an open-source release of Aventail™ Control or Aventail™ Workspace.
