# About Aventail™

Aventail™ is a London and Cardiff-based AI orchestration and data security company launched in April 2026. We help organisations put sensitive information to work while controlling their models and where AI requests are processed.

## From Locai to Aventail

Formerly known as Locai, Aventail™ launched in April 2026, when the business began operating in earnest. Its legal predecessor, Locai Ltd, was incorporated in 2025. The operational launch and legal incorporation are separate milestones.

Based in London and Cardiff, our work is grounded in the practical requirements of deploying AI: the information it uses, the infrastructure available and the boundaries an organisation needs to maintain.

Co-founders Saif Al-Ibadi and Joseph Ward have built production AI together since 2018, from neuromorphic computing to generative design for aerospace. That experience shapes our approach to hardware, connectivity and real deployment constraints.

Aventail™ is a graduate of Google AI First.

## The full AI stack, under your rules

Aventail™ brings supported-model deployment, execution, local classification and policy routing, central management and employee workflows into one platform. Organisations can run supported open-weight models on approved infrastructure and use external AI providers where permitted.

Aventail™ Link combines an inference engine and gateway, running supported models on customer machines and applying routing policies locally. Aventail™ Control manages machines, models and configuration outside the inference request path. It can be hosted by Aventail™ or deployed within the customer’s environment. The hosted service receives device and routing events, not prompt or response bodies.

Aventail™ Workspace gives employees a place to search and process documents, get answers with source references and return to saved history, with role-based access. Aventail™ Connect simplifies configuration for supported applications and brings their model requests under Link’s routing rules, not every network connection an app makes.

Each request runs at an approved destination. Remote destinations need connectivity; disconnected local inference requires an installed, supported model and a policy that permits it. If no destination is permitted, the request fails.
